A REGIONAL SERIES OF

FORGIVENESS EVENTS

REV. ANTHONY THOMPSON

Race. Hate. Murder. These are words we are still too familiar to us in 2020.  Thompson’s radical story of finding peace in the midst of so much racial hatred challenges our notion of justice and offers us power to transform our communities and nation.

SKYE JETHANI

Forgiveness starts and ends with you.  Skye brings a needed message about the bedrock of our identity in God.  Are we able to receive it?  Can we hold on to it when the road gets rough or we’ve forgotten (yet again) what He has already told us?

MORE

REV. DR JOHANNES CHRISTIAN

Have you experienced harm at the words or choices of another? It’s a bitter pill to take. Johannes has tasted its pain, too, and illuminates for us the freedom to be found in entrusting yourself to God no matter the cost.

2 CHRONICLES 7:14

" if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. "

Few things challenge God’s intent for unity and wholeness among the Body of Christ than that of unforgiveness. We struggle to accept mercy for the things we’ve done. We withhold pardon from those who’ve hurt us. And, we are a nation still locked in age-old divides of race, class and belief. As a result, too many people remain in bitter bondage, separated from the full freedom Christ offers.

Heal the Land offers a three-night journey of humility, prayer and spiritual restoration for our region. It will provide a unique opportunity to experience God’s grace through the stories of others, link to prayer support and move beyond hurt to wholeness. Each evening of this three-day, revival-style event will include:

  • Dynamic keynote speakers who’ve traveled the difficult road of forgiveness

  • Testimonies from local Clevelanders on their experience of God’s grace

  • Teaching moments from area pastors and church leaders

  • Inspiring musical performances.

The Church is present in each corner, but too often we're disconnected and unaware of each other. We want to see new friendship, new collaboration, and new healing take root. We believe building unity across the Church will bear more fruit than we can ask or imagine.
